Open the link and tap Report at the bottom of any page.

If you tell us it is about you and you did not agree, or that it is harassment or sexual content, we hide it immediately, before any person at Tangu looks at it. A person then reviews it within 24 hours. You do not need an account and you do not need to explain yourself.

- Messages about sex, health, money disputes, threats, death and grief, and break-ups are excluded automatically and never reach our AI or your Story. - The person making the Tangu reviews every moment, can remove any of them, and can hide individual words. - Nothing is public. There is no feed, no profile and no search. A Story reaches one person, because one person chose to send it. - Link previews show nothing from inside. - We never message anyone who has not asked us to.

We look at the smallest amount needed to make a decision. Every time a person at Tangu opens content for review, it is recorded with the reason and who did it. We then dismiss the report, hide the Tangu, or remove it for good. Someone who has three reports upheld against them loses their account.

• We will not get around WhatsApp's privacy settings, including Advanced Chat Privacy.
• We will not accept group chats.
• We will not send anything on your behalf to someone who did not ask for it.
• We will not build a Tangu for anyone under 18.

Tangu is not an emergency service. In Kenya, call 999 or 112. For gender-based violence, the national GBV helpline is 1195, free and open 24 hours. If you are worried about your own safety in a chat, please do not make a Tangu from it.
